Overview
Fixed Asset Accountant – JBS Australia Pty Limited (formerly JBS Pork Australia). Australia's leading integrated agri‐food company with opportunities across farming, processing, and distribution sites in New South Wales and Victoria. This role is based in Corowa, NSW and is a permanent full‐time position reporting to the Group Financial Controller.
The role involves overseeing fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording, tracking and reporting of capital and leased assets, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to strategic asset management.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse CAPEX reports and reconciliations on weekly, monthly and annual cycles.
* Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals and transfers of assets.
* Partner with business units to manage capital budgets, project spend and related administrative tasks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and Head Office to ensure compliance with AASB16/IFRS16 regarding lease and right‐of‐use asset accounting.
* Support leaders with data‐driven insights to improve cost control, forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
* CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards) preferred.
* Solid performance mindset focused on results and value creation.
* Adaptable, proactive with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to positively influence and collaborate across teams.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
* Valid driver's licence.
