ABOUT THE POSITION:
Our work in Darwin is varied and provides a strong base in working with people with a range of underlying developmental and mental health issues. Our Darwin team completes a range of assessments with diverse client populations, including:
Early childhood developmental assessment
FASD assessment
ASD assessment
Psychosocial assessment
Behavioural assessment
Parenting capacity assessment (often inclusive of mental health assessment)
Dementia assessment
Forensic assessment
The use of assessments relating to learning difficulties, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc., are also utilised as appropriate. Psychological intervention, therapy, and behaviour support services are provided using a diverse range of modalities, including individual, family-based, and service system interventions.
Our client groups are diverse and largely funded through NDIS and Territory Families, including presentations stemming from developmental trauma, developmental disability, neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, and mental health issues.
While our primary work is in Darwin, opportunities also exist to work regionally (e.g., Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities. The NT offers tropical and desert landscapes, national parks, and diverse wildlife. Joining our team offers a chance to experience Australia’s unique regions while making impactful contributions.

Criteria
Desired Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Psychology and minimum of 5 years experience as a Psychologist with general AHPRA registration
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and/or trauma with complex needs
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and neurodiverse populations
Experience providing clinical and/or behaviour assessment, intervention, and support in relevant sectors
Experience or interest in working with individuals involved with juvenile or criminal justice systems (desirable)
Our staff must also:
Hold a current Driver’s Licence
Have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening or the ability to obtain these
Be willing to adhere to government vaccination requirements for certain sectors
