Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Deli Assistant. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensuring customer satisfaction is at the forefront of your priorities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, and slicing meats using our portion control measures.
* Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day.
* Maintain counter displays across all fresh food departments to the highest standards at all times.
* Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers.
* Provide exceptional customer service, efficiently addressing all queries in line with our store policy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* HACCP training desirable but not necessary
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous customer service experience an advantage
* The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, multitasking under pressure
* A genuine passion for food and inspiring customers
Working Hours
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
