About The Role
We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our Peak Downs Project in the Bowen Basin, Moranbah. Reporting to the Project Health & Safety Manager, you will support the maintenance and effectiveness of the site's Safety and Health Management System. This dynamic, hands-on role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly for success.
Key Responsibilities:

* Lead investigations of incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
* Assist in coordinating all functional safety issues, including maintaining relevant records and reports.
* Play a pivotal role in implementing the injury management process.
* Deliver key safety messages at forums to enhance awareness and engagement.
* Foster a strong safety culture and collaborate with other departments to achieve the site's safety objectives.
* Champion compliance with all applicable Health and Safety Laws, Regulations, and statutory obligations at all times.

About You
* Proven 2+ years’ experience as an HSE Advisor
* Strong understanding of mining operations and associated hazards
* The ability to facilitate ICAM Investigations
* Solid knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
* Tertiary level qualifications in health or safety, or actively pursuing them
* Expertise in developing and delivering effective HSE training programs
* Proficiency in incident investigation techniques (ICAM) and risk assessments (WRAC)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
* Advanced computer skills
