Job Summary
The Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining our health, safety, environment, and quality management systems at site level. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert advice to facilitate compliance with our quality, health, safety, and environment management system
* Conducting risk assessments and developing procedures to mitigate hazards
* Leading incident investigations and implementing processes to ensure incidents are reported and investigated thoroughly
* Supporting Return to Work initiatives and conducting regular audits
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and client requirements
* Driving continuous improvement in our safety performance through data-driven decision making
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related discipline
* Qualifications in ICAM investigations and root cause analysis are highly regarded
* A minimum of two years of experience in health and safety, environmental, or a related field
* A valid driver's license and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in remote locations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and influence stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience in risk assessments, emergency response planning, and conflict resolution
