Gumbuya World is seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality Coordinator to support the smooth and efficient operation of all food and beverage outlets across the Theme Park.
This role operates at a leadership level above Team Leader, holding accountability for day‑to‑day operational coordination while remaining hands‑on in shift leadership. The Hospitality Coordinator works closely with the Hospitality Service Supervisor and Hospitality Chef, supporting ordering, rostering, stock control, and team supervision, while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
When required, this role will also support the Functions and Events team, assisting with the delivery of events and peak operational periods across the park.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate day‑to‑day hospitality operations, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, and guest experience
* Lead, support, and coach Team Leaders and frontline staff, acting as the escalation point beyond Team Leader level
* Assist with rostering, staffing coordination, ordering, and stock control in line with operational needs and budgets
* Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and company policies and procedures
* Step into the Hospitality Supervisor role when required to maintain operational continuity
* Provide operational support to Groups, Functions, and Events as needed
* Lead shifts during peak trade periods, special events, and high‑demand days
* Support recruitment, training, and development of hospitality team members
* Maintain strong communication with internal departments to support smooth park‑wide operations.
Essential:
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a high‑volume food service or hospitality environment
* Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
* Supervisor Food Safety Certificate
* RSA
* Working with Children Check
* Provide First Aid & CPR
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to lead from the floor in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable:
* Functions and events experience (or equivalent)
* Barista experience.
