The Family: A warm and down-to-earth family based in Darch, WA is seeking a calm, confident, and experienced nanny to care for their toddler during the day and provide after-school support for two older siblings. Both older children are autistic and have ADHD, so the role requires someone with a genuine interest in neurodiversity and a calm, patient approach. The parents work a mix of from home and away from home and are looking for someone who can become a reliable, long-term part of their family’s routine. Days & Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am – 5:00pm (some flexibility available for the right person) A typical day will include: Engaging the toddler in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play Preparing meals and snacks for the children Light household duties (e.g. laundry, tidying toys, unpacking dishwasher) School pick-up for the older children in the afternoon Supporting homework or quiet afternoon activities Providing a consistent, structured, and nurturing presence throughout the day Main care will be for the youngest child and the nanny won’t be required to have all 3 at the same time The family’s dream nanny: Is calm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children across different ages and needs. Someone who has experience with or an understanding of autism and ADHD will thrive in this role. A background in education, occupational therapy, speech therapy or similar is highly regarded, but not essential. The ideal nanny is proactive, emotionally attuned, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with parents. Someone who can provide structure while maintaining warmth, flexibility, and good humour would be a perfect fit.
