About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent OS Fixed Plant Maintenance – Mechanical, you will lead and supervise our front‐line Toolstore team to service our execution teams across OS Maintenance West for WAIO Shutdowns. This role will be FIFO, on a 5/2/4/3 roster which consists of day shift only. You will coach and mentor employees, drive a strong safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are in place for all activities. As a statutory S26 appointed person, you will ensure full compliance with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. You will drive the day‐to‐day Toolstore service activities as well as lead the continuous improvement of routines and processes to optimise the activities around the Toolstore.

Responsibilities

* Maintain a safe work environment for your team in your areas of responsibility. Area inspections and 5S standards are a crucial part of the role.
* Work effectively with OS maintenance teams and external vendors to deliver a top tier service.
* Facilitate and complete "Whole of Job Function", which includes logistical planning of a travelling Toolstore around shutdown requirements, resource management around peak demand periods, ensure maintenance of serviceable equipment to maintain compliance, ensure stocktake is maintained and reordering completed, and drive and improve all related processes aligned with BOS principles.
* Prioritise sufficient supply of tooling while maintaining efficient use of resources.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping utilising the 5S standard.
* Maintain a high‐level working knowledge of BHP procedures and safety processes.

Qualifications and Experience

You ideally will have experience with the management of Toolstore or warehouses as well as supervisory experience. Key strength will be your ability to engage multiple stakeholders, manage logistics and resource plans at appropriate horizons, manage and enable a team to execute day to day service, and look out into the future through executing mid‐ and long‐term improvement projects. You will be a proactive, self‐driven, and service‐oriented member of the leadership team whilst building trusted, collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. Our successful candidate will need to be suitably qualified to manage all aspects of the department's deliverables and supervisor core routines.

* Experience in leading in the Toolstore or Warehouse space.
* Experience in leading and implementing projects and change.
* Unrestricted C class driving licence.
* SAP, planning and work management experience an advantage.
* Strong safety leadership and safety event management experience desirable.
* Positive and motivated people leader with a focus on culture and team diversity.
