Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road major hazard manufacturing facility (MHF), we are looking to engage an experienced and results oriented process engineer to join the 2,4 D synthesis team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing process improvement projects within the Pipe Rd site, as well as coordinating and supporting troubleshooting and day‐to‐day operations.
This role will see you monitoring plant performance, ensuring we operate with a focus on continuously improving safety, quality and capacity.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting operations and maintenance to optimise all aspects of plant operations on a day‐to‐day and longer‐term basis.
* Instigating and facilitating root cause analysis to investigate incidents relating to plant performance.
* Scoping improvement projects including the development of conceptual design.
* Generating project briefs for detailed works to help support capital expenditure.
* Liaising with the engineering department to ensure engineering content aligns with project objectives and required quality levels, and providing customer input in project delivery.
* Ensuring new projects are integrated with the site Safety Management System (SMS).
* Developing and maintaining existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including development, maintenance and training material delivery for plant operators.
Qualifications
This role would suit a degree‐qualified chemical engineer with demonstrated experience in a process engineering role, with strong previous experience within a chemical, paint, high‐hazard or FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent investigative and analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Demonstrated technical expertise, high levels of attention to detail and the ability to implement change are pivotal for success in the role.
