About the Role
Lead the development, integration, and optimisation of complex capital project schedules across a large infrastructure portfolio. Drive strategic planning across 1-, 4-, and 10-year horizons and uplift organisational scheduling capability to enable better decision-making and performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an integrated master portfolio schedule for all capital projects.
Establish consistent scheduling frameworks, tools, and practices across capital works programs.
Coordinate planning of project and proposal pipelines aligned to strategic priorities.
Prepare forward-looking capital works pipeline reporting, including funding requirements.
Build and lead organisational scheduling capability through coaching and development.
Identify schedule risks, resource conflicts, and delivery slippages to support proactive management.
Deliver integrated dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI) connecting schedule, performance, and pipeline data.
Conduct schedule-based risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations to inform P50–P90 estimates.
Guide contingency planning and cost forecasting using schedule analysis and cost phasing.
Represent the PMO in cross-functional forums and provide expert scheduling insights.
Skills and Experience
Degree/diploma in engineering, construction, project management, or related field.
Significant experience in project and portfolio scheduling within public sector or capital works environments.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Project and Excel (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of CPM, dependency management, Earned Value Management, and Monte Carlo analysis.
Experience integrating multiple schedules into a master program view.
Proven experience delivering schedule-driven reporting and dashboards (Power BI, etc.).
Ability to coach and uplift organisational scheduling and project controls capability.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP or MSP highly regarded.
