About the role
The Knowledge Information and Technology Directorate is accountable for the provision of services and technology that support strategic and operational processes across the Department of Justice, enable information to be leveraged effectively and ensure the Department's investment in technology is optimised.
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
The Senior Network & Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimising the department's ICT infrastructure, including network, server, and end user device environments. The role ensures systems are reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. It includes oversight of infrastructure projects, vendor engagement, and service delivery, with a focus on maintaining operational stability and supporting strategic ICT initiatives. The role also contributes to EUD vendor management, ensuring devices are procured, supported, and maintained in line with departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and optimise network, server, and infrastructure environments
* Lead and support infrastructure-related projects and initiatives
* Provide technical advice to inform business decisions
* Coordinate problem and change management processes
* Engage with vendors, including those supporting EUDs, to ensure service quality and value
* Maintain CMDB accuracy and asset lifecycle tracking
* Support business units through infrastructure planning and service delivery
* Contribute to continuous improvement and team capability development
Ideal Candidate Profile
The panel is seeking a technically proficient and solutions-focused individual with strong experience in managing enterprise infrastructure, including network, server, and end user device environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate capability in leading infrastructure projects, coordinating change and problem management, and engaging effectively with vendors, particularly those supporting EUD procurement, support, and lifecycle management. A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, combined with the ability to assess business needs and translate them into practical, cost-effective solutions, is essential. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence will be key to success in this role.
