Full time fixed term until 02 February 2027 at Camperdown Opportunity to manage, develop and deliver strategic projects as well as define best practices in project management across the faculty Base Salary HEO 9, $146,197 17% superannuation About the opportunity Reporting directly to the Head, Executive Services, the Manager, Strategic Projects will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of strategic programs of work involving integrated or matrix projects for the Faculty of Science and its constituent schools, centres, institutes, initiatives, and integrated services. We are seeking an experienced project manager who is a self-starter and who can work autonomously as well as closely with other teams across the faculty and University. You will manage program stakeholders and collaborate with teams to ensure that project deliverables and milestones are achieved. In particular, this role will focus on the Workforce Allocation Management System (WAMS) and the Teaching Allocation Management System (TAMS) trial project. Your key responsibilities will be to: support the implementation of multi-faceted prioritised projects or initiatives for the Faculty implement multiple projects ensuring effective collaboration manage program financials, ensuring expenditure across the full suite of projects is in line with budgets, and manage reallocation of funding to meet changes in project scope or requirements ensure strategic relationships and communications with program stakeholders are managed effectively including coordination of program reporting to internal and external governance committees and boards. The Faculty of Science is one of five faculties operating within the University and includes the Schools of Chemistry, Geosciences, History and Philosophy of Science, Life and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, Psychology and the Sydney School of Veterinary Science.
