Role Overview
Step into a career‐defining role as Manager – Secondary Design at CPP Perth, where you will play a key role in delivering high‐voltage substation projects that support the growth of Australia's renewable energy and utility sectors. This greenfield leadership role involves building the WA Secondary Design team from the ground up, shaping culture, setting standards, and establishing the capability required to support a growing portfolio.
Responsibilities
You will oversee the primary design of high‐voltage substations and associated infrastructure, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will lead and grow a team of engineers and drafters, fostering a collaborative and high‐performance environment to deliver innovative, high‐quality solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent.
* Chartered status and BLA (or the ability to achieve upon commencement).
* 10+ years' experience at a senior level, including substation design and/or utility grid connections.
* Proven experience in primary design and engineering, with knowledge of civil, structural, and overhead line design.
* Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high‐performing, collaborative teams.
* Strong understanding of industry standards and client requirements.
* Experience with renewable grid connection projects in Australia.
* Based in Perth or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available).
