Part Time/Permanent (14.5 hours, 2 days per week)

$28,621 per annum plus superannuation (pro-rata)

**About the role**:
The Studio Support Officer works within the Cultural Programs and Services team to support the operation of the City's creative studio spaces, including the Pine Street Creative Arts Centre, Makerspace, and Ultimo Community Centre classroom.

This role helps keep our spaces safe and organized for the community to participate in our programs and workshops.

Each day, your tasks may vary from setting up for classes to checking stock levels and preparing students' works for pickup. The day-to-day is all about good communication, following processes, and practical work while being surrounded and inspired by creativity and community

What you will do:

- Support your team members by helping to maintain safe, clean, and organized studio spaces
- Undertake daily studio functions, such as the preparation and distribution of class materials and stock control
- Ensure the timely preparation and treatment of students' works across a diverse range of practices, such as 3D printing, laser cutting designs, or glazing and firing ceramics
- Develop fantastic relationships, collaborate with the team, and understand best practice studio processes.

To be successful, you will:

- Have, at minimum, a vocational certificate in studio-based arts/design practice or relevant manual handling certification
- Have demonstrated experience in a creative arts or makerspace studio environment
- Have the capacity to develop skills and support the operation of studio spaces across diverse practices
- Be a team player and be passionate about making an impact in the community
- Be able to undertake manual handling, lifting, and repetitive action tasks
- Be flexible about working in various locations and hours as needed.
