About the role 
The role will provide excellent customer service in the delivery of accounts payable and accounts receivable services to internal and external customers. Role accountabilities include: 
Help customers and staff with questions about payments, invoices, and the City's purchasing card program. 
Build strong relationships across the organisation to support good service and a positive workplace culture. 
Enter and check financial data like purchasing card transactions, invoices, payments, and adjustments. 
Keep financial records up to date and help create clear instructions for regular tasks. 
Manage credit accounts by reviewing applications, checking limits, and suggesting changes when needed. 
Send invoices and statements, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts, following Council rules. 
Do regular checks and reconciliations for accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy.

The desired applicant will have: 
Certificate in accounting or finance and experience in accounts payable/receivable. 
Demonstrated ability and understanding to manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes. 
Previous experience in the use of the NAVision finance system and proficiency with technology products generally. 
Proven ability to deliver great customer service and communicate effectively. 
Strong time management and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. 
You will have a reflective approach to work, consistently demonstrating organisational values and behavioural standards.
