Your new team As a Senior Front-End Developer at Auto General, you'll play a key role in delivering best-in-class digital experiences for our customers and staff.
You'll help design and build modern web applications that allow customers to purchase and manage their insurance policies online, while also contributing to internal systems that support critical business operations.
You'll be part of a cross-functional Agile team, working closely with product owners, Scrum Masters, testers, and fellow developers.
Our teams deliver software using modern DevOps practices, with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments on AWS.

The role Design and develop fit-for-purpose front-end solutions that deliver value and meet sprint goal.
Lead solution design and contribute to the evolution of our modern front-end architecture Build, enhance, and maintain customer-facing and internal web applications Contribute to and help improve CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployment infrastructure Take ownership of your work and proactively suggest product, performance, and UX improvements Establish and champion best-practice testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing Collaborate across development, testing, deployment, and support activities within Agile teams Coach and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and raising overall capability What experience you'll bring Essential: Extensive experience building, deploying, maintaining, and supporting software applications Expert knowledge of modern front-end architecture Strong expertise in Angular (2+), TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES****+) Experience producing technical documentation (high-level and low-level designs, UML, user guides) Experience with application and system monitoring tools Hands-on experience with AWS, including cloud deployments using Docker Strong understanding of web application security standards (e.g. OWASP) Experience working with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) Ability and passion for coaching others and sharing knowledge Nice to Have: Experience with other modern frameworks such as React or Vue Familiarity with GitLab DevOps Platform Background in financial services or regulated environments Location Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers) outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
