Project Coordinator: Mechanical Operations
Fortescue's Hedland Operations are situated on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. Our Anderson Point Port Facility is a hub of activity, where we drive projects that keep our operations running safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
This exciting opportunity allows an experienced Mechanical Project professional to take ownership of planning and delivering mechanical projects across our high-performing operation. You'll be part of a supportive team, working closely with Maintenance and Engineering Reliability to bring projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Taking projects through initial scoping to safe execution and close-out.
* Building scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, and timelines.
* Managing early engineering requirements and stakeholder engagement.
* Leading tendering processes, vendor engagement, and procurement of long-lead items.
* Overseeing project execution (both online and offline) and flexing roster during shutdowns.
* Tracking budgets and reforecasting.
* Ensuring compliance with frameworks, work management, and safety procedures.
* Identifying improvement opportunities and driving efficiency in project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
2–5 years' experience in mining/heavy industrial environments.
2–5 years' experience in project management.
Mechanical Trade Certificate or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
Clear communication and strong leadership skills.
