The role
We are currently seeking an individual to join our team at our Geochemistry site in Orange.
We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Assistant to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting our many mining and exploration clients.
As a Logistics Assistant, you will work in a warehouse environment, conducting Prep QA/QC checks and supporting sample preparation operations. Please note that this is a physically demanding role, so previous production experience and flexibility with availability would be highly advantageous.
The role also involves working in a dusty environment where wearing a half-face respirator is mandatory, and to ensure a proper seal, you must be clean-shaven.
This is a Full-Time role, and you MUST be able to work the following roster:
Monday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm
There are opportunities for multi-skilling within the department, including progression towards more complex roles in sample preparation and administration.
The day to day
Numerical sorting and labelling of samplesPackaging samples for dispatch, box marshalling, and supporting sample managementConducting Sample Prep QC (crusher and pulveriser sieve checks) to verify sample preparation qualityPerforming Specific Gravity (SG) analysisHandling rock, core, and drill chip samplesOperating sample preparation equipment, including weigh scales, drying ovens, and analytical sievesPerforming routine manual labour tasks, including lifting and being on your feet throughout the dayWearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respiratorWorking collaboratively as part of a team to achieve daily production targets
This is a residential role, and you must be residing in or planning to relocate to Orange - NSW with current Australian work rights to be considered.
