As part of our close‐knit Vessel Planning team, you'll play a critical role in how each vessel is built, worked, and turned around. This isn't just scheduling – you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining stowage plans that ensure vessels are safely and efficiently loaded and discharged, with the right balance, sequencing, and utilisation of space.
You'll be working across the full planning lifecycle, from interpreting BAPLIE data and building initial plans, through to adjusting them in real time as operations unfold. This means constantly balancing competing priorities such as crane intensity, yard constraints, stack weights, discharge order, and vessel stability.
It's a hands‐on role in a high‐performing team that works well together, supports each other, and takes pride in what they do. You'll be based at our Sydney terminal, planning activities across both Sydney and Brisbane operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the preparation and distribution of arrival EDI BAPLIE files
* Coordinating with shipping lines and central planners
* Submitting and coordinating export Load Recaps to Vessel Operator
* Capturing ancillary charges
* Planning and revising stowage plans in collaboration with central planners and ship officers
* Monitoring operations to adjust work orders, crane allocations and container sequences for optimal space utilisation
* Liaising with regulatory bodies and managing communications effectively

* Proven experience in vessel stowage planning preferred
