About the Role:
The Divisional Controls Manager oversees risk management, understanding, and change to create maturity in NAB’s risk management practices.
This role focuses on managing a team to develop appropriate risk management practices and controls to identify, assess, quantify, and manage risks in relevant businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational risk and compliance management, uplift and change risk management within the Division
* Engaging and managing senior stakeholders to implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework
* Leadership of a team of highly engaged colleagues and demonstrating distinctive leadership practices
* Risk profiling: assisting to identify key risks and design indicators to monitor, input into Divisional Risk Setting Statements and use of risk indicators as relevant
* Designing controls: assisting to identify the right key controls to mitigate key risks and obligations applicable to the business in partnership with the specialist controls team
* Providing guidance on risk and control items including subject matter expertise
* Relevant Risk Management Forums and/or other risk-related committees as required
* Developing and maintaining compliance plans which are ultimately owned by the Business in consultation with risk and compliance partners
* Completing compliance obligations assessment
