Your responsibilities will include:
In this pivotal role, you will support some of the nation's most complex defence and advanced technology programs with particular focus on the high profile Missiles & Fire Control portfolio. Your ability to provide clear, concise advice will help drive informed decisions, strengthen compliance, and enable successful program delivery.
Your primary responsibilities will be overseeing the smooth flow of goods and technical data domestically and internationally while maintaining strict compliance with Australian and international regulations. You will work closely with a combination of internal program teams, wider Lockheed Martin operations, the Customer and government regulators to provide guidance, resolve issues, and support EXIM compliance in a proactive, collaborative manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a high level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to EXIM Compliance matters.
* Strong understanding of but not limited to; the Customs Act 1901, Australian Defence Trade Controls Act 2012, Customs (Prohibited Import) Regulations 1956 and Customs (Prohibited Export) Regulation 1958.
* Maintain compliance with regulations governing the shipment, transfer, receipt and documentation of controlled products and technical data.
* Review and provide advice to Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) on Australian Export/Supply applications prior to submittal to Defence Export Control (DEC) Office.
* Respond to general enquiries from the MFC team, including support for bid activities.
* Provide guidance on the use of International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), Free Trade Agreements and other preferential duty programs.
* Support process improvement initiatives and maintain EXIM training records.
* Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships, ensuring effective and professional interaction with Lockheed Martin (LM) management, employees, customers, contractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate is a motivated team player who is assertive, approachable, and adaptable. They are eager to learn, contribute to process improvements, and can work independently or remotely while maintaining high standards of accountability and performance.
Key Skills & Attributes:
* Experience in a similar position managing export/import operations.
* Sound understanding of the Australian Customs (Prohibited Export) Regulation 1958.
* Knowledge of Australian Customs / Border Force processes.
* Experience with logistics, freight forwarding, and customs brokers.
* Legal or compliance background is highly desirable.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
