Manufacturing and Process Improvement Specialist
This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary + superannuation.
The Manufacturing and Process Improvement Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure the successful integration of new equipment, technologies, and processes.
Responsibilities include:
* Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting and optimising production equipment and processes.
* Lead or support the planning, execution, and commissioning of capital projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
* Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and technical documentation to support engineering designs and manufacturing processes.
* Develop technical specifications, project scopes, budgets, and timelines for capital projects.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (maintenance, production, procurement, HSE) and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
* Analyse production performance data to identify opportunities for mechanical improvements, cost/waste reduction and efficiency gains.
* Participate in the identification, design, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including risk assessments, progress reports, and technical drawings library.
* Ensure smooth handover of capital projects to operations and provide technical support during the transition.
* Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and production documentation.
* Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for production problems.
* Contribute to long-term manufacturing and asset improvement planning.
