Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Pyrmont for a Senior Interior Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams, executing and managing design projects, including creating space plans, developing interior concepts, managing FF&E selections, and producing detailed construction drawings. The role includes collaborating closely with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, client-focused projects on time and within budget. You will be expected to take a leadership role in ensuring design excellence and project efficiency and managing our junior staff and junior designers.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design principles with a strong ability to conceptualize and execute creative and functional designs.
Solid background in Architecture and Construction Drawings, with attention to detail and the ability to oversee design implementation effectively.
Experience in Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) selection and specification to deliver cohesive interior design solutions.
Strong project management and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with developers, contractors, and other team members effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in mostly Archicad and other design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes and standards is highly desirable.
