Workshop Truck Mechanic – Local Work | Long-Term Projects | Community-Focused
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team based in our Gladstone Workshop. You’ll be responsible for maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks, with opportunities to expand your skillset across our heavy earthmoving equipment, auxiliary plant, and light vehicles. Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks, with opportunities to expand work on heavy earthmoving equipment, auxiliary plant, and light vehicles.
- Identify and communicate defects with confidence and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Work autonomously with self-motivation, while maintaining a strong safety focus.
To Be Considered For This Role You Will Have
- Relevant Heavy Diesel trade certificate (essential)
- Current C class Queensland licence (minimum); HR Licence or above desirable
- Knowledge with Mack, Isuzu, Hino trucks, floats and trailers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Proven track record of accurate, high quality workmanship
- Ability to identify defects and communicate them effectively
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
- Strong safety focus
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical including functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
