QLD Health is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to join Community Mental Health and Acute Care Teams. These roles support adults (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises, delivering timely, community-based assessment and intervention.

Mental Health Clinician | Community Mental Health

QLD Health – Regional Permanent Roles

Employment: Permanent Full‑Time

Classification: HP3‑HP4

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver community‑based acute mental health assessment and crisis response
* Conduct triage, comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments
* Provide short‑term interventions, safety planning, and assertive outreach
* Coordinate care and referrals with internal and external services
* Work within Trauma‑Informed Care and Recovery‑oriented frameworks
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings

Requirements

* Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
* Experience in acute and/or community mental health settings
* Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills
* Queensland Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)

Criteria

* Qualifications : Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
* Experience : Minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing, particularly in case management.
* Communication Skills : Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
* Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Transportation : Valid driver's license for regional and remote roles.
* Flexibility : Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for at least 12 weeks.

Psychiatry Registrar – Inpatient & Community

A regional mental health service in QLD is seeking a Psychiatry Registrar to support both their Inpatient Unit and Community Mental Health Team .

Service Info : This dual‑role position offers a mix of structured inpatient care and community‑based outreach. The inpatient unit provides multidisciplinary support for acute presentations, while the community team delivers ongoing treatment and recovery‑focused care in outpatient and home settings.

Location Info : Located in Toowoomba, this regional city offers a relaxed lifestyle, beautiful parks, and a strong sense of community – ideal for locums seeking a meaningful role in a scenic and well‑supported environment.

Rates : $1120 per day (PAYG or ACN)

Dates : 3 November 2025 – 9 January 2026

Roster : Monday to Friday, 08:30‑17:00
