We're looking for casual cleaners to join our team working on some of Adelaide's biggest events and festivals.
About the Role
The job of the Festival/Event Cleaner is to clean and sanitise our portable toilets so they're ready for use.
It's physical work and you'll be on your feet for full shifts so a reasonable level of fitness is required. We start everyone on paid trial shifts in our yard to see whether it's for you.
Two types of shifts are available:
Yard-based (Para Hills)
* Pressure wash and deep clean portable toilets and showers after events (toilets are pumped out by our techs before they get to you)
* Restock consumables (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels)
* Help maintain an organised work area
* Typical hours: 7-8am-3pm
Live event Cleaning Attendant (Adelaide Showgrounds, Botanic Park etc. )
* Manage your assigned area checking and restocking toilets throughout the event
* Keep cubicles and surrounding area clean and tidy (sweep, wipe down, restock supplies)
* Spill cleanup as needed
* Hours vary - days, weekends, night shifts, early mornings
For reliable, responsible cleaners there are opportunities for additional shifts including function close-downs and deep cleaning work at premium events.
Please note: We are very conscious of fatigue/burnout so this role is only offered on a casual basis. It won't suit someone looking for full time hours.

Viking has been supplying portable toilets (plus showers, hydration etc.) to some of Adelaide's biggest events and festivals for over 15 years.

What We Offer
* $30-32/hour casual rate, paid weekly
* Paid trial shifts to see if it's a good fit for both of us
* Plenty of hours during event season (Oct-Apr) to make good money. We try to cap shifts at about 4 a week though, because this type of physical outdoor work isn't sustainable for full time hours.
* Reduced but consistent shifts during the quiet season (May-Sept) for solid team players who show up and deliver
* All PPE and cleaning materials provided
What you'll need:
* Reliable transport to our Para Hills yard and (for live event shifts) local event sites
* Fitness for physical outdoor work, often in hot weather
* Availability for weekend and evening shifts during event season
* Ability to soak up the festival vibe and work well at the same time
Previous cleaning experience is valued but not essential. What matters more: reliability, work ethic, and taking pride in doing a good job.

* Working efficiently and independently after training
* Paying attention to detail so each unit is properly cleaned and ready for use
* Following safety instructions and cleaning procedures
* Communicating clearly with supervisors and other team members
