Quality Assurance Officer
to join our Campbellfield team
You will coordinate day to day quality assurance and control processes, perform laboratory tests, compile and evaluate data and also aid in the development and maintenance of quality safety systems.
A normal day in the role of the Quality Assurance Officer includes:
* Performing tests and making decisions for a wide range of manufactured final products to verify conformity to specifications
* Setting up and operating laboratory equipment, instruments and recording all laboratory Quality Control tests
* Inspecting and testing processed and/or packed products to ensure compliance
* Assisting in any planned production and development trials
* Carrying out quality requirements on processed products in compliance with WQA/SQF/Coles/Aldi and HACCP standards
* Monitoring the day-to-day hygiene and quality of the manufacturing plant
* Carrying out periodic internal audits of processes and systems
* Selecting products for tests at specified stages in production process
* Performing environmental sample analysis as per guidelines
* Maintaining effective working relationships with warehousing, logistics, operators and plant management

To be in the running for this role, you should have:
* A tertiary qualification in Food Science/Technology or Science
* Food industry experience
* Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment with good working knowledge in food safety and/or quality
* The ability to problem solve quality issues and provide suggestions for improvements
* Initiative You are autonomous and a self-starter
* Solid proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* An open, curious and optimistic outlook; you're a problem solver
* A genuine passion for making a difference to help improve the way our customers work
* Excitement to learn and be exposed to different capabilities and experiences within the business
