Position: Senior Service Locator
Location: Perth, WA
Salary: Up to $55 per hour
About the Role: An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Service Locator to join a leading contractor. Based in Perth, you will work on a wide range of projects, from major infrastructure and civil works to private commercial developments. This is a great chance to work for a company with a strong reputation. You will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground assets. This role is perfect for a technical expert who enjoys working outdoors, solving complex utility puzzles, and ensuring site safety for the broader construction team.
Responsibilities
* Use advanced electromagnetic and GPR equipment to find and mark underground services.
* Lead on-site locating activities and ensure all work meets high quality standards.
* Create clear and accurate site plans and reports based on your findings.
* Ensure all locating work follows strict safety rules to prevent asset strikes.
* Talk with site managers and engineers to explain utility risks and layouts.
* Maintain and calibrate high-tech locating gear to ensure it stays in top shape.
What You\'ll Bring
* Proven track record as a Service Locator, ideally in a senior or lead role.
* Telstra/Optus accredited or similar industry-recognised locating certificates.
* Expert knowledge of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and radio-detection tools.
* Ability to read and interpret complex utility plans and DBYD (Dial Before You Dig) info.
* A valid WA manual driver\'s licence is essential.
* Work Rights: Full Australian working rights.
