Main Responsibilities
* Develop and publish research on nature-positive definitions, metrics, and frameworks using Australian case studies.
* Analyze and publish research on state-wide, national, and global data using the developed framework.
* Investigate the importance of counterfactuals and safeguards when applying the definitions, metrics, and framework.
* Promote the widespread adoption of our definitions, metrics, and framework.
* Create an online tool demonstrating nature-positive status and highlighting necessary actions.
About You
* A PhD in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field is required.
* Strong quantitative and data analysis skills with experience in GIS, R, Python, or similar tools are essential.
* Excellent statistical skills are necessary for data interpretation.
* Familiarity with nature-positive concepts, counterfactuals, and additionality is crucial.
* A strong track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at conferences is desirable.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams is vital.
