Job Description
AJ Aluminium Pty Ltd are currently seeking a full time experienced glazier for a very busy well established Northern Beaches commercial window and door manufacturer. We manufacture and install a wide range of products for all aspects of the building and construction industry. The salary will be between $80K - $95k plus Super. Tasks and Duties:
- Assess worksite risks and assess before commencing
- Choice of an appropriate glass
- Building the framework for the glass
- Measuring and fitting current glass
- Sealing glass and making everything watertight
- Using a crane with suction cups to lift glass into place
- Working with plastic or laminates, and treatments that make glass safer or stronger
- Ensure proper handling, coating, etching, or trimming as required
- Hack outs where required
- Work with supervisor to plan and manage orders as well as monitor progress
- Recommend techniques to improve efficiency
- Load & arrange glass & mirrors onto delivery truck
- Installation of glass into windows and doors
Qualifications, education, and experience requirements:
- Suitably qualified (relevant Cert IV qualification or equivalent with minimum 15 years experience)
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a production setting
Skills/Characteristics Required:
- Competency across the above tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to caulk
- Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Drivers license and car
- White card
- Safety oriented
- EWP ( Elevated working Platform)
