About the Role:
We are seeking Residential Care Workers to join our team in providing therapeutic care and support to our Young People in our residential houses located across the Hamilton area.
Hourly Rate of $34.46 to $40.05 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 2-3, depending on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of the hourly rate.
We have flexibility to match your lifestyle; currently, we have permanent and casual positions available. Ideally, you will be able to work a mix of shifts including dayshifts, sleepovers, active nights, weekdays, and weekends.
As a Residential Care Worker at MacKillop, you will work collaboratively to provide a safe and nurturing home for Young People and be passionate about their wellbeing. Responsibilities include responding to Young People's emotional and functional needs, supporting their personal development, undertaking household duties such as cooking and cleaning, and engaging in administrative tasks like updating reports and records.
While previous experience working with Young People is preferred, we encourage individuals without prior experience who are passionate about making a difference in Young People's lives to apply.

To be successful in this role:
* A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other relevant tertiary qualifications, or a commitment to enrolling in a course .
* A genuine interest in Young People and their wellbeing.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage well with Young People.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and professionals.
* Understanding and respect for cultural and linguistic backgrounds, with a commitment to cultural safety.
Requirements:
* Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (assistance available from MacKillop).
