If you're proactive, organised, and ready to make real impact, this is your chance to be part of something meaningful.**About the Role**As our **Property Support Worker**, you're the steady force ensuring every residential property in our family violence program is safe, secure, and ready for the people who need it most.You'll move across multiple Mackay sites, working closely with the Team Leader and frontline staff to keep properties running smoothly and support the delivery of life‐changing services.**What You'll Be Doing****Property & Asset Management*** Carry out pre‐ and post‐occupancy property checks* Keep records and asset registers accurate and up to date* Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance with confidence**Program & Service Support*** Work alongside Team Leaders and Practitioners supporting adults and children* Manage purchasing and oversee fleet safety* Build strong relationships with trades, suppliers, and service partners* Contribute to property strategy, safety improvements, and program development* Ensure all spending aligns with budgets and organisational processes**What You Bring*** Certificate IV in Property Management or Community Services (or relevant experience)* Experience in property or program support—family violence sector experience is a strong advantage* Excellent time‐management skills and the ability to work independently* Basic computer and record‐keeping skills* Current driver's licence* Relevant child‐safety clearances (e.g., Working With Children Check)**What we offer**The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:* Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.* Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.* Flexible working arrangements.* Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport* Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.* Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.The Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
