BOSS Fire Protection is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Sprinkler Fitter / Water-Based Fire Technician to join our service team.
With 28 years of industry experience, we deliver compliant, high-quality water-based fire protection solutions across the Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Brisbane regions.
Based from our central Sunshine Coast corporate office and supported by a separate warehouse facility, this role offers consistent work, variety and strong operational support in a well-run business.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, working with people and taking pride in doing the job properly.
What you will be doing
* Working hands on with water-based fire protection systems
* Equipment testing and reporting
* Diagnosing issues, problem solving and keeping buildings protected and compliant
* Carrying out repairs, improvements and upgrade works across a wide range of sites
* Tackling defect rectifications and helping bring systems back to full performance
* Supporting upgrades and modernisation works as buildings evolve
* Working across commercial and strata sites throughout the Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Brisbane regions
* Assisting the Fire Protection Manager with scoping and estimating repairs and upgrade works
* Communicating clearly with clients, site contacts and internal teams
* Delivering professional, accurate service reporting and documentation
* Working in line with Australian Standards and compliance requirements
* Participating in toolbox meetings and a strong safety culture
About you
* Qualified Sprinkler Fitter / Water-Based Technician
* Current QBCC Fire Protection licence for water-based systems
* Strong working knowledge of AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1851 and NCC requirements
* A people-focused technician who communicates clearly and professionally
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
* Confident working independently across multiple sites
* High standards for safety, workmanship and compliance
