This position will suit a mid-career professional ecologist who is ready to lead our Albury Office.
We are looking for a NSW accredited BAM assessor, or someone who has sufficient fieldwork experience that we can support you to become accredited. You will have:
- experience in environmental impact assessment and monitoring
- sound knowledge of environmental legislation and demonstrated knowledge of flora and fauna identification
- experience planning and leading ecological fieldwork, including targeted threatened flora and fauna species surveys
- minimum 4 years ecology consulting experience, including the preparation of biodiversity reports
- project management experience, including juggling multiple priorities
- experience in Victorian environmental assessment, but this is not essential
We currently manage 20-30 biodiversity assessment projects at any time, with project durations ranging from a few weeks to a year or more. Technical design, assessment and reporting is undertaken by a team of ecologists and overseen by a senior ecologist. We value a very collaborative workplace across our offices.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can lead our Albury office, but someone based in the wider Riverina might be suitable. We also have potential positions across southern NSW for the right ecologist to fit our business.
This position will suit someone looking for full time work, but part-time hours of 25+ hours pw would be considered. Remuneration and working arrangements are negotiable.
