This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Process Development/Update**:
- Review and update existing processes.
- Develop recent processes where none exist, as prioritized by the department's Information Security representative.
- Processes to be developed/updated include but are not limited to:
- Information Asset Register review process.
- Information classification using the Business Impact Level table.
- Secure disposal and sanitization of public sector information.
- Policy exemption requests and reviews.
- Investigation processes for data leakage and trusted insider alerts.
- System security assessments, access reviews, and more.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the Information Technology branch and other areas to gather necessary information.
- Conduct interviews and workshops to develop and update processes.
- **Project Management**:
- Schedule and conduct weekly status meetings with the Information Security representative.
- Monitor project progress and address any challenges promptly.
**Key Selection Criteria**:
- **Proven Experience in IT Security Policy Writing (40%)**
- Demonstrated experience in developing, updating, and writing comprehensive IT security policies.
- **Familiarity with Cyber Security Frameworks (30%)**
- Strong knowledge of VPDSF, Essential 8, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and other relevant frameworks.
- **Analytical, Organizational, and Communication Skills (30%)**
- Ability to analyze complex security issues, organize tasks efficiently, and communicate effectively.
- Proven track record of working autonomously and delivering results.
