About the role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance teams within the allocation regions to ensure maintenance for both horticulture and processing equipment is maintained to the highest of standards.

Duties include but not limited to

* Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
* Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
* Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation.
* Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
* Schedule and supervise repairs, inspections, and servicing of machinery and systems.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and asset performance.
* Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and production goals.
* Source and manage relationships with external service providers and suppliers.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and systems.
* Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and coordinate corrective actions.
* Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
* Prepare reports and present maintenance performance metrics to senior management.
* Train staff on equipment handling, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance
* Good operational decision-making skills
* Adaptable to change, resilient, can work well under pressure
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills and the practical ability to fix issues as they arise
* Previous maintenance experience
* Good communication skills
* Experience diagnosing faults and resolving/recommending solutions
* Drivers Licence

What You Should Know About Our Operations

Our business is widespread, growing walnuts, almonds and bees in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
