About the Role
We are seeking experienced Contract Diesel Fitters/Technicians to maintain and repair customer vessels and assets. As a Diesel Fitter, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered equipment including Super Yachts and private leisure craft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel-powered equipment, and implementing effective repair solutions.
* Rebuilding, overhauling, and replacing diesel engine components as required.
* Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
* Supervising & collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
* Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
* Potential to progress this role to a Works Manager role.
Requirements:
* Formal qualifications in Diesel Fitting or a related trade.
* Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Diesel Fitter, with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
* Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* Proficient in the use of a range of tools and equipment, including computerised diagnostic tools.
* Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a focus on following procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members and our wide customer base.
