We are advertising a rare opportunity to join Council as a Strategic Planner to contribute to the transformative change in urban and regional development to enhance the overall look, feel and liveability of the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.
In This Role You Will
Play a key role in planning projects, implementation and review of planning policies and land use strategies.
Develop long-term plans, policy frameworks and strategic initiatives that guide the sustainable growth, infrastructure investment and community liveability.
Liaise with government agencies, developers, heritage and community groups to deliver planning solutions that balance economic, environmental and social priorities.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Graduate qualifications in Planning and/or eligibility for membership of Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
Comprehensive understanding of strategic land use planning, ecological sustainable development, place making and urban design principles.
Demonstrated level of independence in solving problems and using judgement with an ability to listen, interpret and convey information in a clear and accurate manner.
