About the centre & role
Our client's philosophy is promoting children's interest through play‐based learning. The service's Reggio‐inspired curriculum integrates literacy, numeracy, science, music, social awareness, emotional intelligence, and language development into a typical week. There is also access to a weekly visit from an artist for creative art experiences and a qualified sports coach for an opportunity to work on motor skills.
Your role as an educator is to provide a nurturing, happy, and stimulating learning environment for the children in your care. Working with the room leader and educational leader, you will assist in providing thoughtful and meaningful programs based on the diversity of learners in the centre. You will focus on putting children's rights first and give each child a sense of belonging, being and becoming.
A typical day includes
- Making children laugh while learning
- Creating a stimulating, positive, and fun environment for the children
- Ensuring learning and development are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Implementing and evaluating programs indoors and outdoors
- Writing observations and analysing children's progression and development
- Developing solid relationships with children and effectively communicating with parents and carers
About you

- Experience in a long daycare environment
- Understanding of the legislation, standards and frameworks relating to Early Childhood Education
- Understanding of child protection legislation and willingness to undergo additional child protection training as required
