About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an experienced and driven Group Electrical & Services Manager to join our Asset Management team based at our Group Support Services (GSS) office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support and coordination of electrical systems, assets and services across the Teys group ensuring high level of performance, maintenance and compliance standards.
This is a strategic role supporting both capital project delivery and ongoing operational excellence across primary processing, value-added facilities, and feedlots.
Reporting to our Group Maintenance & Reliability Manager, the role responsibilities include:
* Lead the design, installation, and performance monitoring of services and process control systems
* Provide expert technical advice to senior leadership and the Board
* Oversee large-scale capital works and upgrade projects from design to completion
* Drive standardisation, cost efficiency, and safety across electrical and service installations
* Collaborate with IT and Safety teams to ensure compliance and integration
* Manage contractor relationships and electrical contract performance
* Develop and maintain corporate standards, audits, documentation, and training programs
* Champion compliance in areas including pressure vessels, fire safety, hazardous areas, and machine guarding
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
* Electrical Trade Qualification and Australian License
* Relevant qualifications acceptable for associate level professional registration of the Institute of Engineers – Australia
* Ten years demonstrated successful experience within a food export manufacturing and packaging environment
* Strong understanding of the relevant legislative Acts, Codes and Australian Standards as the relate to the operational running of a business
* High degree of computer package competency (AutoCAD, MSOffice, Project, Visio, Oracle products).
* Highly refined degree of computer literacy and multiple competencies - development and maintenance of electrical automation, process visualization software and diagnostic tools
* Demonstrated personal qualities of innovation flare, drive, commitment and loyalty
* Current drivers license and ability to travel within state, interstate and internationally (when required)
* Ability to manage self and others within a multi-functional corporate group role
Desirable:
* Degree qualifications and professional registration of the Institute of Engineers
* Post- graduate qualifications or substantial completion toward recognition Management qualifications
