The Role
As a Welder/Fitter, you will fabricate and assemble trailer components using advanced welding and fitting techniques. This role requires precision, adherence to technical specifications, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will contribute to producing durable, high-quality trailers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding to construct trailer components to precise standards.
* Fit and assemble metal parts based on technical drawings and specifications.
* Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
* Adhere to workplace safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
* Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent).
* Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and arc welding and fitting in a manufacturing setting.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and procedures.
* Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and operate machinery.
Desirable
* Experience in trailer or vehicle manufacturing.
* Additional welding or fabrication certifications.
* Familiarity with equipment maintenance practices.
