With a mission to create proud communities living their best lives, we're now seeking a committed and strategic **Area Asset Manager**(you may know this role as **Facilities Manager**or **Building Services Manager**) to play a key role in managing and enhancing our built environments across our ACT and South Coast portfolio.
**As our new Area Asset Manager, your focus will be on**:
- **Optimising**asset performance ensuring safety and quality compliance, and lifecycle cost performance based upon sound asset management principles, annual business planning and budget formulation
- **Implementing**minor capital works, refurbishments, and maintenance strategies
- **Embedding**sustainability and risk management into assets and their operations
- **Partnering**with stakeholders to align built-form outcomes with resident and operational needs
- **Supporting**the implementation of a forward-looking and market leading Asset Management Framework
You will work closely with Compliance, Maintenance, and Refurbishment teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes. This is not just about maintaining assets€"it's about enabling environments where residents and employees can thrive.
**To succeed in this role, we'd expect you to have**:
- Significant and demonstrable experience in a building or facilities management role (ideally managing multiple sites)
- Knowledge of aged care maintenance operations and standards, including safety and safe working requirements would be highly advantageous, though not essential.
- High levels of communication, people and contractor management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience working with; multiple trades, building and contractor risk, WHS, essential fire safety measures, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services etc
- Demonstrated history of co-ordinating and deploying contracted resources to achieve business outcomes, including emergency response work
- Australian work rights and a valid Australian driving licence
