Project Geologist Job
Join a copper-gold project at its early stages. This role offers plenty of scope and exciting potential for turning grassroots datasets into real targets and taking ownership of drilling, mapping, and geochem programs.
About the Role
* Lead the planning and execution of mapping, sampling, and drilling programs (RC and Diamond).
* Supervise contractors and ensure field programs run safely and efficiently.
* Conduct logging, QA/QC, and data management using industry tools.
* Integrate geochem, geophysics, and structural mapping to define targets.
* Liaise with database and geophysics teams to support interpretation.
* Prepare clear technical reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
* Work closely with senior decision-makers in a collaborative team.
About You
* Degree qualified geologist with around 5–15 years' experience in exploration or resource development.
* Background in copper or gold systems – porphyry, VMS, or epithermal experience ideal.
* Strong field capabilities – able to run programs and lead contractor teams.
* Comfortable working with early-stage datasets and refining exploration plans.
* Familiar with software such as QGIS, Micromine, Leapfrog, or Geoscience Analyst.
* Strong communicator who can work independently and as part of a small team.
* Willing to travel for short field campaigns.
