Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW children from early childhood to secondary school. It employs and supports teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
A School Administration Officer reports to the Principal and assists with a range of school, classroom and office tasks, including record keeping, bookkeeping, clerical duties, reception, maintenance of classroom and office equipment, purchasing and preparation of stock and learning/resource materials.
Fairfield West Public School is opening a new public preschool as part of the NSW Government's commitment to deliver 100 new public preschools by 2027.
Staff in preschools must demonstrate suitability and ongoing compliance with the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW) and Education and Care Services National Regulations (NSW), as well as Department policies. This includes a commitment to child safe practices and requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Work effectively with teachers and children.
* Perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures, accounting procedures, word processing, operation of computers/office equipment, library procedures, hospitality, design and technology, and science.
* Commit to protecting and promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of all children.
