At ViridAU, we support clients across transport, infrastructure, industry, and development to reduce environmental impacts and improve compliance. Our Air Quality Team is expanding, and we're seeking an Air Quality Consultant to deliver specialist modelling, monitoring, and assessment services on diverse projects.
What you'll do
* Conduct air quality, odour, dust, and greenhouse gas impact assessments
* Perform dispersion modelling (CALPUFF, AERMOD, CAL3QHCR, GRAL) and meteorological modelling (TAPM, CALMET, WRF)
* Process and analyse large environmental datasets (meteorology, pollutant concentrations, monitoring outputs)
* Undertake ambient air quality and deposited dust monitoring, QA/QC checks, and interpretation
* Prepare regulator-aligned reports for approvals, permits, and compliance audits
* Support environmental audits and sustainability assessments for major projects
* Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and clients for data collection and logistics
What you bring
* Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
* 2–5 years' experience in air quality consulting, including dispersion modelling and emissions estimation
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (Queensland DES, NSW EPA, IS v2.1 Technical Manual, etc.)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction
* Valid driver's licence (construction/rail safety accreditation a bonus)
