Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Fitter based in Hobart, TAS. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment.
Day-to-day tasks include identifying and resolving mechanical issues, performing detailed machining and fitting work, and collaborating with team members to ensure minimal downtime in operations. The role requires a proactive approach to keep equipment functioning optimally in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in Fitting and Machinery handling.
* Proficiency in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance activities.
* Experience in Machining and working with mechanical tools.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Trade certification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in industrial environments.
* Previous experience in commercial or industrial laundry equipment maintenance is a plus.
