The Opportunity
As the Assistant State Manager you will be reporting to the State & General Manager, you'll take charge of multi-site cleaning operations across sectors, including commercial offices, hospitality, retail, and hotels.
This is a highly autonomous role where your ability to deliver exceptional service, retain clients, and identify growth opportunities will directly impact success.
What You'll Be Driving
* End-to-end management of a portfolio of Canberra commercial cleaning contracts
* Seamless onboarding and mobilisation of new clients
* Strong client relationships, retention, and satisfaction
* Operational performance against KPIs (quality, productivity, profitability)
* Identification and conversion of additional service opportunities
* Efficient coordination of teams, subcontractors, and resources
* Timely quoting and contribution to winning new business
* Managing labour efficiency and resource allocation to maximise contract profitability while maintaining service quality
What Sets You Apart
* 3+ years of proven success in managing multi-site cleaning or facilities contracts
* Commercial mindset with the ability to spot and grow opportunities
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Self-driven, organised, and confident, working autonomously
* Experience gained in commercial cleaning and hotel housekeeping is preferred
