Supply Chain Lead
Randstad has been appointed to assist a leading Manufacturing client in the FMCG industry, in their search for a new Supply Chain Lead, for their site in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
This pivotal role involves handling procurement, inbound logistics, warehousing, and materials planning to satisfy external and internal stakeholders.
To succeed in this position, you will:
* Have significant experience in Supply Chain/Inbound Logistics/Warehousing within a food manufacturing environment.
* Lead a team of two direct reports and eight indirect team members, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain of this fast-growing organisation.
* Be responsible for innovation, quality, and excellent customer service, which are unique selling points of the supply chain function.
* Develop strategies to achieve these objectives with a lean mindset, establishing a responsive supply chain model.
* Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Manager on day-to-day matters related to Warehousing and Inbound Logistics, reporting to the General Manager on strategic procurement-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal prices and delivery terms.
Inbound Logistics:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods from suppliers to meet production requirements.
Warehousing:
Manage the efficient storage and retrieval of inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
Materials Planning:
Coordinate the forecasting, purchasing, and inventory management processes to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
Team Leadership:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the supply chain team.
