The Opportunity
Based from a regional workshop in Gladstone and attending project sites as required, this role is ideal for an experienced Diesel Fitter / Mechanic who enjoys variety. You'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and plant, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and ready for operation.
You'll work closely with supervisors and operators, contribute to daily toolbox talks, and play a key role in keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.
About You
* Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or Mechanical Engineering (Cert III or equivalent)
* Experience maintaining heavy vehicles and mobile plant
* Strong capability with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits
* A current driver licence and construction industry White Card
* A safety‐first mindset and pride in producing quality work
* The ability to work well in a team and support apprentices where needed
* Good record‐keeping and attention to detail
