Job Summary
There is an opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Cairns or Brisbane based internal legal team.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Drafting, reviewing and assisting with contracts of sale for both businesses and land
* Attending to large property transactions, including due diligence and option agreements
* Preparing and reviewing leases, licence agreements, franchising agreements
* Reviewing and advising on fuel supply agreements
* Satisfying disclosure obligations with respect to franchising and retail leases
* Assisting with procedural processes for rental determinations
* Liaising with our existing external legal panel
* Monitoring numerous critical dates, including settlements, renewal dates, option dates, etc
Experience & Key Skills
Our ideal candidate/s will have:
* A minimum of two years experience across a range of property transactions (ideally some experiencing with franchising)
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Able to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines
* Good drafting skills
* Detail oriented
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team
